Artikkeldatabaser - fellestrekk • Enkel/simpel search og et avansert søkebilde • Feltsøk • Operatorene and – or – not • Nærhetsoperatorene same- near(nX)- within(wX) • Man kan legge til flere felt • Autoritetslister: tidsskrift, forfattere, emneord (BSC) • Frase-søk • Liste med stoppord: in, the, ofetc (preposisjoner, pronomen Eks: ”men versuswomen” : Man får treff på alle fraser hvor ett ord skiller men og women • Store og små bokstaver – blir oversett • Søkehistorikk

  2. Hva er standard-felt å søke i? • ISI: ”Topic” = Tittel, sammedrag, emneord • BSC: ”Select a field” = Tittel, sammendrag, emneord, tidsskriftsnavn • Bibsys: ”Utvalgte felt” = Tittel, forfatter, emneord, omtalt person, omtalt korporasjon, innholdsinformasjon

  3. Søketips – hva gjør jeg? 0 treff ? • Trunkering/wildcard: * ? $ • Eks: strateg*organi?ationcolo$r • Synonymer (”eller/or”) :  Eks: human resourcesorhr • Kontroller evt feilstavelse, navnevarianter, språk etc Mange treff eller ikke så relevante? • Kombinér flere ord  and, same, nearX, whithinX • Fjern støy med  not (coachingnot sport) • Frasesøk ”knowledgemanagement” • Søk i bestemte felt (forfatter, tittel, emne, tidsskrift etc) • Avgrens på dato, dokumenttype, akademisk stoff med mer • Sortér trefflisten  forfatter, tidsskrift, antall siteringer
