  2. Ten Cannons of Growth Acts 2- Acts 11

  3. Ten Cannons of Growth Prayer Prayer: Come together each week for prayer service. Leaders specifically pray each day for evangelism and people. Each member prays every day for specific people for evangelism.

  4. Ten Cannons of Growth Lives dramatically altered by Jesus Life change: Re-evaluate your life in Christ. What do I need to do to experience what the early believers experienced? Am I on fire for the Lord? Am I passionate for Him? Repent, commit, devote, and let Christ and Holy Spirit lead.

  5. Ten Cannons of Growth 3. People desiring to study Consistent Study: Am I reading and studying His word daily? Will I invite others to study with me? Do I meditate and reflect on His word day and night? Be specific about when and where to study. Ask God to help you follow through.

  6. Ten Cannons of Growth 4. People involved in the community Community Influence: List specific ways that you can be involved in your community. What is your congregation doing? What ideas do you see in scripture that you or your congregation can begin to gain influence in the community? Pray for greater opportunity to serve your community. How will you approach your elders and leaders with your ideas? Act (Do!)

  7. Ten Cannons of Growth 5. Unity through relevant preaching Unity through Bold Preaching: Are the messages pointed, bold, direct, and convicting? Do you sugar-coat the truth? Is God’s word respected or simply ignored? Unity exists only through the response and conviction that God’s word has final say and authority over your life. Do you agree or disagree? Is this statement true in your life? What do you need to do to demonstrate this truth in your life? What about congregationally?

  8. Ten Cannons of Growth 6. Leaders who pray & study Spiritually Minded Leaders: As leaders are you giving yourself over to prayer and study? Are you delegating effectively? What specific changes do you need to make?

  9. Ten Cannons of Growth 7. People who witnessed at every opportunity Radical Led Christians (the passion never dies): How often have you witnessed to someone concerning the good news? How many times in 2008 would you say you actually talked to someone about the need for salvation? 1-2 3-6 7-10 10 and above Didn’t

  10. Ten Cannons of Growth 7. People who witnessed at every opportunity Radical led Christians (the passion never dies): How often do you feel resentment when the preacher or others encourage you to witness or evangelize? Would you say it’s easier for you to talk to someone about the need for salvation when your life is good or when you are struggling in life? How can you change from the way you’ve “always done things” to witnessing in every opportunity whether good times or bad?

  11. Ten Cannons of Growth 8. People who understood the urgency The Urgency of the Great Commission: Do you believe every soul is precious? Do you believe that the Commission Jesus commands in Matthew 28:19-20 is your responsibility to carry out? If your neighbor was on fire you would do the following: Call 911 Watch him/her burn Sit rooted to your seat uncertain what to do next Act with whatever you can find to put out the fire What would you do if this was your family or close friend? What can you do or what specific steps will you make to: Make Jesus mission your mission Focus on the souls of those close to me

  12. Ten Cannons of Growth 9. People who understood that God can change anyone Salvation is for All: Do you find it easier to ignore the poor or those of the opposite color? Do you find it easy to relate to those of an upper class in society? What people do we find in the Bible were approached to hear the Good News? What were the situations that existed and where were these people? How does this translate to you and the congregation? List specific ways in which people in need of the Good News can be reached?

  13. Ten Cannons of Growth 10. People who invite The Action of You: You are the key. This one cannon can only be ignited by you because it is you. What will you do and when will you act? How many will die because of your inaction?
