HPH network,FRANCE HPH Coordinators Workshop Gothenburg, Sweden 21 May 2013 Andrea Limbourg
A little history… • 1997: 7 hospitals • Coordination: Paris Hospital « Trust » • Joint coordination with National Health Education Committee(not for profit) • 2002: National Institute of Prevention and Health Education • Network grew slowly to 15 members in 2009 • Break in coordination activity until march 2012
Opportunities to start up again • A certain amount of naivety • Very positive initial response from hospitals in the network • General meeting held in June 2012 • 15 people • 8 hospitals present, including 2 non members • 8 hospitals represented, including 2 non members • 1 regional health authority
Challenges • No manager after June 2012 • It feels like starting from scratch even though France has (had) an established network • Lack of infomation and documents to present the french network • Too ambitious (?) and going at the pace of institution & partners
Projects being developed • National Coordination Committee • INPES’ annual multi-themed conference:Journées de la Prevention- one-day session on HPH 6th June 2013 • INPES’ quarterly magazine:- Issue dedicated to HP in hospitals • Online collaborative sharing site • Working group • Getting out there, meeting partners & members
Future ideas/plans • Develop communication efforts • Database of projects developed in the hospitals • Regular newsletter • Including HPH in hospital certification • Participate in health care professional initial training and professional development • Collaboration with international network and other national networks
