  1. Class Rules forMs. Broughton’s Class These are the rules we will follow this year to learn and have fun.

  2. CLASSROOM Respect Treat others nicely and use kind words. Understanding Get permission to talk & use the right conversation level. Listening Eyes on speaker, ears open, mouths closed. EducationCome to school on time and ready to participate every day. SafetyFollow directions. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.

  3. What happens if you break the RULES? We will use a poster, magnets and a take-home behavior chart to show how well you are following the rules. Everyone starts the day on green. You get a verbal warning 1 Magnet You get a check on your behavior chart Magnet 2 0 & star behavior You go above and beyond Magnet If you break more rules you will get a special consequence based on the rule broken. If you break a rule, you may be able to move your magnet back to green if and only if… you do really well for the rest of the day!

  4. What happens if you follow the RULES? If you end the day with your magnet on green or purple you will… • Get a sticker for your take-home behavior chart! • Earn 1 point to buy privileges or items from our classroom treasure box each month! • You can also earn a extra points for being a role model and showing good character or doing extra classroom jobs. Earning points also gives you a chance to be our Marvelous Manatee of the Week/Month!

  5. Why are RULES important? RULES help us to… • Respect ourselves • Respect others • Respect our environment If we all follow the RULES every day, our classroom will be a safe and fun place to learn!
