John Kenneth Rabac

Born to factory worker parents in Detroit, John Kenneth Rabac began his journalism career as a cub reporter at the age of 14. He received 4 James E. Scripps Awards and numerous Associated Press and United Press International Awards, in addition to a School Bell Award as the top education reporter in Michigan. In a career that spanned over 40 years, he became the editor-in-chief of U.S. Publishing Company of Warren, Michigan. John Kenneth Rabac also spent five years as a news anchor and street reporter for CBS News/WWJ AM in Detroit.

  2. Born to factory worker parents in Detroit, John Kenneth Rabac began his journalism career as a cub reporter at the age of 14. He received 4 James E. Scripps Awards and numerous Associated Press and United Press International Awards, in addition to a School Bell Award as the top education reporter in Michigan. In a career that spanned over 40 years, he became the editor-in-chief of U.S. Publishing Company of Warren, Michigan. John Kenneth Rabac also spent five years as a news anchor and street reporter for CBS News/WWJ AM in Detroit. He supervised the writing and production of seven weekly newspapers in the suburban Detroit area, including the Civil Rights weekly Detroit Voice.
