College of Business and Economics Contact Your Assistant Dean to Learn More About… • College Honors Program (open to Business Administration students with 45 units and a GPA of 3.5) • College of Business Tutoring and Advising Centers • Dean’s Honor List / Scholarships and Awards events • Industry Night and Business Week Planning Groups (These events  provide exposure to the Business community, and are primarily planned by students in our 14 Clubs and Organizations)  • Study Abroad Opportunities

College of Communications Contact Your Assistant Dean to Learn More About… Emphasis on Professional Development Opportunities: • Communications Week Planning Task Force (5-day event planned by students)  • Leadership Opportunities & Student Leadership Office 1) Clubs & Organizations 2) College Ambassador Program 3) SOAR - Interclub Council 4) Peer Mentor Program • Write, take photos or sell ads for the Daily Titan • Compete on the award-winning Forensics/Debate Team • Develop a program for Titan Radio or On the Edge Academic Advisement Program: • College Advisement Center & Faculty Advisors • Internship is a critical part of our training programs • Select one of our 5 minors to enhance resume & training

College of Education Contact Your Assistant Dean to Learn More About… • EDU collaborates with the Center for Careers in Teaching to prepare future teachers. • Future teachers and education administrators are invited to serve as participants and leaders in the EDU student organizations. • Funds are available for students through the EDU Inter-Club Council and Associated Students Incorporated for such things as travel to conferences or to pay an honoraria for a guest speaker. • Scholarship funds are available to future teachers. 1) Apply for Financial Aid 2) Review the scholarship handbook online in January and 3) inform your FA counselor of your teaching goals. There are specific scholarships and loan assumptions for future teachers. See the Assistant Dean for specifics.

Student organizations (including student government) The Opportunity Center for Science and Math Students (OCSAMS – MH 488) Free tutors for science and math courses.
