Medea Look for: Superb use of costume for establishment and transformation of character. The script, language and character portrayals are entirely appropriate for the story of Medea, a classic Greek tragedy. Comic moments and characterisations add colour to the piece and lighten what might otherwise be an entirely dark tale. Excellent manipulation of rhythm and contrast between characters and scenes, also in delivery of language and use of space to create both comic and dramatic tension and climax. There is a strong sense of truth and integrity in the main characterisations.
