  2. The Society for the Relief of Disabled Children was established by volunteers in 1953 to provide medical, surgical, rehabilitation and education facilities for disabled children in Hong Kong History 歷 史 本會於1953成立，其宗旨為殘障兒童提供醫療以及復康服務。

  6. Current Developments 最新發展 Despite the change, the Society still has a significant influence in the running of the hospital and provide special equipment via the public health care system for children that are not readily available 本會工作重點轉為向公眾籌款為醫院購置現今醫療體系並不資助的儀器

Current Developments 最新發展 DKCH　根德醫院 The First Filmless Hospital in Hong Kong 全港首間無菲林醫院 • To set up the first HK ‘Filmless’ hospital at the Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital at Sandy Bay 在大口環根德公爵夫人兒童醫院成立首間無菲林醫院 - In 2002 – HK$4 million 在2002年 – 資助港幣四百萬元 - In 2012 – HK$3.7 million 在2012年 – 資助港幣三百七十萬元

  10. What we do? 服務簡介 Individual Beneficiary個別受惠者 Magnetic Growing Road SRDC supported a total of HK$175,500 for the Growing Rod equipment of two children patients Yan Hang and Chung Man. They were also diagnosed as having problems in deformity of the spine. 本會贊助港幣175,500分別幫助兩位小朋友小欣及小雯。他們分別被確診為「青少年原發性的脊椎側彎」及「魯能綜合症」

What we do? 服務簡介 • Beneficiary – KOB • 受惠者 – 街坊小子木偶劇場 • The Kids on the Block was first launched in 1995 as sponsored by SRDC • 自1995年由本會引入街坊小子木偶劇場 • An education program designed hosted by a puppetry, to help the public to understand and accept children with physical, mental or medical disabilities • All puppeteers are volunteers recruited from various walks of life in Hong Kong • 資助KOB木偶劇團，其宗旨為向公眾提供對殘障兒童認知的教育 Volunteers Team

Beneficiary – JF Kennedy School 受惠者 – 甘迺迪學校 Sponsored a Sensory Integrative Treatment Room in JF Kennedy School What we do? 服務簡介 • Set up a special treatment area to conduct Sensory Integrative Therapy for students whose behaviour and learning ability may be interfered by sensory integrative disorder • 資助在JFK學校興建感覺統合中心，以協助有感覺統合失調學生

  15. Patient 1 – YunQuan(1) 病童 甲 – 運權 • 17 years old boy with osteogenesis imperfecta • 今年17歲，患有成骨不全症 • Lives in rural area with 4 brothers • 與4個兄弟往在郊區 • Father passed away 10 years ago and mother suffers from chronic liver disease • 父親10年前離世，母親則患有嚴重肝病

Patient 1 – YunQuan(2) 病童 甲 – 運權 • Suffered 20 times fractures in childhood • 童年時曾經歷超逾20次的骨折 • Felt pain when walking • 走路時感到疼痛 • Had problems attending school • 身體問題導至上學困難 • Doctors diagnosed that he would not be able to walk after a few years if no proper treatment was taken • 醫生診斷認為若不及早作出治療，運權可能在數年內無法行走

  17. Patient 1 – YunQuan(3) 病童 甲 – 運權 • Corrected left femoral deformity and leg lengthening • 修正運權畸型的腳踝，以及延長他的腳踝長度

  18. Patient 1 – YunQuan(4) 病童 甲 – 運權 • Yun Quan returned to orphanage on Jan 2009 and hassince turned into a grateful person. Such changes were reflected in his social behaviour with his colleagues • 運權已回到國內收容他的孤兒院，他的性格變得開朗和感恩，與朋友們相處也顯得從容自然 Thank You Letter!　感謝信

  19. Patient 2 –ZhaoJun(1) 病童乙 – 昭君 • 16 year old girl suffered from scalding injury in early childhooddue to a fire accident. She lost her parents duringthe fire and wasadopted by a peasant family • 昭君今年16歲，童年時的一場火災使她雙腳嚴重損傷，後來她被一個農民家庭收養 • Multiple hypetrophic scarswith left lowerlimb (above knee)amputated due to severe contracture • 昭君的雙腿留有重大疤痕，其左足自膝以下因為嚴重孿縮而需要被截肢

  20. Patient 2 –ZhaoJun(2) 病童乙 – 昭君 • Severe right foot and ankle deformity • 右腳及足踝嚴重變型 • Have suffered discrimination in school • 在校內受到歧視 • Doctors believe that she will not be able to attend secondary school in 3 years time as her condition deteriorates • 醫生診斷認為昭君的情況若持續惡化，可能無法上中學

  21. Patient 2 –ZhaoJun(3) 病童乙 – 昭君 • Ilizarov correction • 張力手術矯正足踝問題 • Fitting new Prosthesis • 裝上新的義肢

  22. Patient 2 –ZhaoJun(4) 病童乙 – 昭君 • Significant improvement of walking capability with normalweight balancing • 手術後，昭君的行動能力大為改善，行走時可取得正常的平衡 • Pain began to subside, able to attend school normally • 疼病減低，可回校上課 Thank You Letter!　感謝信

  23. Patient 3 – XiaYan(1) 病童丙－曉艷 • 16 years old girl • 曉艷今年16歲 • Lives in Anyang, Henan, China • 家居河南安陽 • Comes from a low incomefamily and she came to Hong Kong under Henan Social Security Assistant Scheme • 曉艷來自低收入家庭，她是通過河南社會保障協助計劃來港接受治理

  24. Patient 3 – XiaYan(2) 病童丙－曉艷 • Severe equinovarus deformity of right foot, with wasted calf muscles • 右腳患有嚴重的馬蹄內翻足畸型症，並患有殘缺小腿肌肉問題 • She had to walk on the dorsum of foot with a big callosity, walking tolerance limited to 30 minutes • 她只能以腳背代替腳掌走路，因此腳踝長了一大塊繭皮，故此她每次最多只能走路30分鐘

  25. Patient 3 – XiaYan(3) 病童丙－曉艷 • Soft tissue release, osteotorey and gradualcorrectionof the deformity by ilizarov external system • 手術包括放鬆輭組織，截骨以及以Ilizarov骨折外固系統逐步改善畸型問題

  26. Patient 3 – XiaYan(4) 病童丙－曉艷 • Able to fufil her dream to go to the shoe shops and choose her own shoes • 可圖往鞋店選購鞋子的美夢

  27. Patient 4 – Zhen Peng(1) 病童丙– 振鵬 • 19 years old boy • 振鵬現年19歲 • Father is a farmer and lives in • Anyang, Henan, China • 父親是一名農民，居於中國河南安陽 • He came to Hong Kong under the partner organisation HIS foundation • 透過香港天鄰基金會來到香港

  28. Patient 4 – Zhen Peng(2) 病童丙– 振鵬 • 50 degree internal rotational deformity • 50度向內旋轉畸形 • 90 degree of bowing with Tibial pseudoarthrosis • 90 度脛骨假關節病 • Such problems limited his walking capability • 這些問題限制了他的行走能力

  29. Patient 4 – Zhen Peng(3) 病童丙– 振鵬 • Gradual correction of the deformity by ilizarov external system • 在香港接受了骨骼延長的矯形手術

  30. Patient 4 – Zhen Peng(4) 病童丙 – 振鵬 • Zhen Peng recovers well, and returned to his home • 振鵬康復進度良好，現已返回原居地

Patient 5 – Li Guang(1) 病童戊– 李光 • 21 years old boy • 李光現年21歲 • Due to financial difficulties and social pressure, his parents decided to give him up. • He had made his living as a beggar from the age of 12 in Wuhan, Beijing and Guilin for 5 years until he met his supporter Mr John Drinkwater • 由於經濟拮据，李光遭父母遺棄。他由12 歲開始在武漢、北京以及桂林行乞，過了孤苦伶仃5年的生活，直至遇上他的援助者Mr John Drinkwater • He lives in Gulin, China with his supporter MrJohn Drinkwater • 他和他的援助者Mr John Drinkwater 居於中國桂林

  32. Patient 5 – Li Guang(2) 病童戊– 李光 • Severe bilateral clubfoot • 嚴重的雙側馬蹄內翻足 • Unstable when walking • 步行不穩

  34. Patient 5 – Li Guang(4) 病童戊– 李光 • Li Guang appears positive and energetic since his return to Gulin, thanks to the treatment he received through this project • 李光回到桂林，人變得開朗和充滿活力，可見此次計劃給他帶來正面的改變 Thank You Letter! 感謝信
