  2. Faced with • As a child I was confused because my mom acted strangely • After my mom was taken to the hospital a few weeks later she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder • Just last year my brother was diagnosed

  3. Impact Good Bad Worry of having it or passing it to children Stress Scared us • Became closer to family • Appreciate everything more • Learned how to avoid it

  4. What we did • We were there for her every step of the way • Were strong in knowing she’d return • I was amazed watching my dad stay strong through the whole thing

  5. today • Thankful to have her and each other • Know signs and causes • Everything is back to normal and we even joke about her being “crazy”
