What Paul believed defined who he was and how he lived his life (Acts 21:8-14) • Agabus prophesied that Paul would be bound hand and foot and delivered to the hands of the Gentiles (8-11) • The people with Paul pleaded with him not to go to Jerusalem (12) • Paul gives his response that he is ready to die if necessary (13) • Paul lived by what he believed and would not allow anyone to dissuade him (14)

  4. What Paul believed determined how far he was willing to go (Acts 23:11) • Paul was determined to follow wherever and however the Lord led him • Acts 23:11, 27:20-24 • This determination was based on the fact what he believed mattered to him • Phil 3:13-14; 2 Tim 4:8

  5. What Paul believed determined the true meaning of his life (Acts 28:30-31) • He had a singular focus • Acts 28:31a “preaching the kingdom of God…” • He had a singular love • Acts 28:31b “…the Lord Jesus Christ…” • He believed in a singular commitment • Acts 28:31c “…with all confidence…”

  6. Conclusion • What we believe influences every aspect of our lives. • Our beliefs define, determine, and demonstrate what we value. • Paul’s life was shaped and driven by what he believed about Christ. • Does what you believe about Christ really make a difference in your life?
