Abby’s Math Awesomeness. Mean. Mean: You take all of the numbers and add them up. After you add them up you take that number and divide it by how many numbers you have. Example: 1,1,3,7,8,10 / means to divide. 1+1+3+7+8+10= 30 30/6=5 5 is the mean. Median.

  2. Mean Mean: You take all of the numbers and add them up. After you add them up you take that number and divide it by how many numbers you have. Example: 1,1,3,7,8,10 / means to divide. 1+1+3+7+8+10= 30 30/6=5 5 is the mean.

  3. Median Median: You put all the numbers in order from greatest to least, then you cross one off from each side (left and right side) until you have one number left in the middle. Example: 1,2,4,6,8,9,10 1 is out,10 is,2, 9,4,8 6 is the median (the middle)

  4. Mode Mode: You look at all the numbers and whatever number you have the most of is the mode. Example: 1,1,4,6,9,10,20,47 We have two ones,1 is the mode.

  5. Range Range: The range is when you subtract the smallest number from the biggest number. Example: 1,2,4,6,8,10 10-1=9 The range is 9.
