How FinanceWorks will help you, the student • Algorithmically generated questions in FinanceWorks allow you to practice the same problem with different values – so you can get as much practice as you need.  • FinanceWorks features a Study Plan tied to the Learning Goals found in Gitman’s Principles of Managerial Finance textbooks. • FinanceWorks gives you immediate feedback and guidance with the “Help Me Solve This” and “View an Example” features that will help you get a better grade.

Getting Started with FinanceWorks You will need the following to register: • Student Access Code (included free with your textbook, purchased stand-alone from your bookstore, or purchased online) • If your instructor has created a course for your class, you will need your instructor’s name and course name. If your instructor has not created a course, you will need your textbook information. • Connection to the Internet (you will need to go www.aw-bc.com/financeworks)

  4. At www.aw-bc.com/financeworks, click the link that takes you to www.mathxl.com. On the following screen, click “Register”. You can also purchase online access from this screen.

  5. Enter your access code. Complete the online registration process and create a login name and password. The first time you enter the site select your school and course from the drop-down menus. If your instructor has not created a course, just choose your text by author, title and edition and click Submit.

  6. Next you will see the Installation Wizard and site requirements. Read and follow all the directions to install the necessary software on your computer. For technical support, visit www.aw-bc.com/techsupport or call (800) 677-6337 (M-F, 9 am – 6 pm EST).
