  1. As each slide comes up, you are to look at it and STUDY it for at least 30 seconds. DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE OR MAKE ANY SOUND WHATSOEVER. Penalty for doing so is public humiliation and a noogie.STUDY IT. Good writers need to be good observers.

  2. Then, write about what you see. Write whatever you want. One sentence? Two? A small paragraph? Three line story? POETRY?????? Use PRECISE language. • PLAY WITH THE LANGUAGE AND LET THE PICTURE CONTROL YOUR WORDS. Remember to STUDY the picture, though.

  3. Be observant and be a writer. Control the language. You have a license to do whatever you want with words. • You know the saying “a picture paints a thousand words?” Well, try and bring a picture to life in far fewer. • I will then ask you to share all or a small portion of what you wrote.

  4. If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it. LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONSuses logic detail oriented facts rule words and language present and past math and science can comprehend knowing acknowledges order/pattern perception knows object name reality based forms strategies practical safe

  5. RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONSuses feeling "big picture" oriented imagination rules symbols and images present and future philosophy & religion can "get it" (i.e. meaning) believes appreciates spatial perception knows object function fantasy based presents possibilities impetuous risk taking
