  3. Normal Day • In July I was on a twelve-day stay in Great Britain. The Student Agency had arranged all the stay. I was in the town of Torquay which is situated in southwest England. • I lived at an English host family together with girls from Germany, Spain and two girls from Russia. Each morning we used to have delicious breakfast - baked toasts, orange and raspberry jam, peanut butter, cornflakes, juice and milk. The whole family was very nice and willing to help me with my problem in English language. • In the mornings we followed the plans that had been prepared by the travel agency and in the afternoons we went to school. At first our teacher's language was difficult to understand but in a day or two I got used to it.

  4. English Courtesy • The famed English courtesy attracted me most. English people are very considerate, they thank for everything and they apologize for just a little poke in the street. 2003

  5. Wierd Situation • When I was supposed to keep my shoes on my feet inside a house, I felt embarrassed. Although they didn't change their shoes, there was tidiness everywhere and their carpets were always clean.

  6. Tea with milk • Over against I preferred English tea with milk even though at first it seemed to be a bit strange.

  7. London Amazing city 2003

  8. London • Concerning English cities I was especially fascinated by London. Even though the weather was bad. We visited the most famous sights - Big Ben, museum Madame Tussaud's, Buckingham palace... I was astonished by all the sights and I have beautiful memories from London.

  9. „I liked Great Britain and I would like to go there again.“ –Sabina Dvořáková
