  2. Carees • This is not such an easy job to do. • They do hurtles obstacles mentally and physically. • You will learn skills that translate into civilian jobs and gain experience that can’t be taught in a classroom. You will face challenges and learn to overcome them.

  3. Eligibilty • Physical and mental toughness are just the basic requirements. This is about commitment. A commitment to yourself. A commitment to those around you. A commitment to make a difference, help those in need and be a keeper of the American dream. • It takes drive—the kind that doesn’t fade when impossible obstacles are staring you in the face. It takes mitigation, teamwork and the will to achieve something bigger. If you’re looking for something more, the Guard is looking for you.

  4. Benefits • You Get a degree with money for school, learn job skills that translate to the civilian world, make bonds that last a lifetime and earn pride for life. When you become a Guard Soldier, your family will thank you, your country will thank you and your future will owe you.

  5. What will you earn? • You will be paid for every day you serve, whether in training, weekend drills, Annual Training or deployment. Your rank, job (MOS) and education level will determine your specific pay level. The higher you go, the more you make. And the more time you serve, the more you earn.

  6. Do you get insurance coverage ? • We take care of our Soldiers and their families. You will have access to affordable healthcare and life insurance benefits. • You will have full coverage insurance.

  7. Retirement • If you serve 20 years or more with the Guard, you will be entitled to retirement benefits. Because you are able to hold a civilian job during your enlistment, your Guard benefits will be in addition to other benefits.

  8. Home loans? • Let Veterans Affairs help you get into your own house. Guard members may be eligible for home loans with little to no down payment.
