Deadlines, Deadlines, Deadlines • Be aware of deadlines!!! • Is it a “received by” or “postmarked” deadline? • Is it a priority or final Deadline? • Applications and all supplemental items such as letters of recommendation, transcripts, etc. • SAT/ACT, FAFSA, Competitive Majors, Housing, etc. • Scholarships • All have deadlines!

  6. TEXAS SUCCESS INITIATIVE • Used for colleges in Texas to determine college readiness (placement exam) • Exemptions: • SAT – EBRW – 480/Math - 530 • ACT – Composite score of 23 with 19 in English and Math sections **If not exempt, MUST test!**

Transcripts • TMHS Process - Complete form from Registrar’s Office • Request from student (not colleges, coaches, or counselor) • Official $2.00 • Unofficial $1.00 • 48 hours • Final Transcript is FREE! • The Common Application • Counselors upload unofficial • Student must still request an official from Registrar’s Office • Lone Star College Transcript (for students enrolled in DC) • Send Unofficial Transcript for admission • Send Official once committed to school

Class of 2020SPO Senior parent organization • Mission: • The purpose of the TMHS Senior Parent Organization, a non-profit educational organization serving the Tomball Memorial High School in the state of Texas, is to provide a safe and fun place for TMHS students to go after prom free of any alcohol and/or drugs while also providing many activities which are an important part of their senior year. This purpose is to be realized by • 1) raising funds and obtaining donations from individuals, business groups, corporations, foundations, and other donors in the community, • 2) from the funds raised provide prizes, games, entertainment, decorations and food for Project Prom which is the after-prom event each year for our high school seniors, and • 3) acting as a fiscal agent for the sponsorship of activities to carry out the first two purposes. • Important Information: • Webpage: TMHS-SPO.com • Next general member meeting: September 11th in LGI (room # 1404) at 6:30 • All events are made possible through memberships, donations, and sponsorships • All volunteers must complete a background check, and be a member of SPO.
