  1. First AnnualOkanagan College Aviation Career Day 20 October 2007

  2. John Lent theRegional Dean helps kick off the first Annual Aviation Career Fair at the OC Aerospace Campus on the Vernon Airport.

  3. Six local aviation industries were represented with over 10 million dollars of aircraft displayed

  4. Alpine Helicopter’s 2. 5 million dollar Bell 407

  5. A new multi-million dollar Citation Jet was supplied for the event by Kal Tire

  6. Interior Flight Centre flew down to the career fair from Kelowna in a Beechcraft Duchess

  7. The Vernon flight club provided their Aeronca Champ and were towing up gliders for everyone to watch

  8. Vernon Gliding Club turned out in full force with planes and demo’s

  9. Bob Advent’s unique pusher prop Lake Amphibian was on hand

  10. Southern Interior Flight Centre and the Okanagan College Commercial Aviation program was on hand and offered a door prize of a free flight over the Okanagan with the opportunity to take control of the plane!

  11. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Program was highlighted and offered a $500 tuition credit as a door prize

  12. Interactive work stations were set up to highlight the aviation maintenance industry

  13. An AME student helps a youth with a project

  14. Students strip down a jet engine

  15. A BBQ kept the Boys happy!

  16. A participant turns over a Lycoming 320 Radio trial

  17. Engine run up time – it’s really loud!

  18. CHBC was on hand to record the Career Fair
