Lab Safety!! Tori LeAnn Watson
Equipment.. • Never handle ANY lab equipment if the teacher has not given you permission. • If you come into the classroom and see safety goggles and a beaker do not touch or play with it. • Also be sure to handle ALL equipment correctly. • For example do not toss a test tube to somebody, you would hand it to them.
In Mrs.Huntzes 7th grade classroom the procedures are.. • Enter the classroom quietly • Stay in your seat unless you have permission to be up. • Raise your hand if you have a question or a comment.
Behavior.. • Always try to be on your best behavior and try your hardest on your work !! • If you are not having a good day and act up then you will get in trouble and might have to be sent to the office.
Fire.. • If there is a fire we would do as we normally would in a drill. • First we would quickly exit the classroom in a single file line • Secondly we would exit the 7th grade pod and stand outside. • Then you would wait for your teachers directions for what to do next.
Chemicals.. • NEVER taste or drink any chemicals in the lab unless instructed to by your teacher. • Do not mess with any chemicals unless instructed to by the teacher. • Do not directly smell any chemicals.
