  17. SCHOOL AGENDA 21 • A PROGRAMME ESTABLISHED IN 2003/04 • IN WHICH THE EDUCATION COMMUNITY AIMS TO CONTRIBUTE TO A SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THEMUNICIPALITY

  18. IT IS DIRECTED AT ALL STATE AND SUBSIDISED SCHOOLS IN THE ACBC THAT PROVIDE COMPULSORY EDUCATION FOR 6-16 YEAR OLDS

  20. TOWN COUNCILS • OFFER TECHNICAL ADVICE • ORGANIZE FORUMS FOR STUDENTS PARTICIPATION. • MUNICIPAL REPRESENTATIVES ARE COMMITED TO : • RESPONDING TO THE PROPOSALS • CARRYING OUT SOME OF THE ALTERNATIVES

  21. PHASES OF THE PROGRAMME: • DECISION AND ELECTION OF A COORDINATOR • ORGANIZATION: ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITTEE • DIAGNOSIS • DEFINITION OF AIMS • ACTION PLAN, EXECUTION • ASSESSMENT OF RESULTS • A REPORT IS WRITTEN • IMPROVEMENT PROPOSALS TO THE TOWN COUNCIL IN A MUNICIPAL FORUM
