  5. Assimilation The US government has made official policies on different ethnic groups in the US. The US gov’t called this policy assimilation. One of the best examples is the Native American assimilation. Our gov’t not only forced where they would live, but how they would live. Our gov’t would change their lifestyles forever. No official apology has been released for our treatment of the Native Americans.
