  2. Mozilla Thunderbird A brief introduction: Thunderbird is basically a cross platform, open source, and totally a free email program. This program allows to integrate multiple mailboxes with POP or SMTP protocols. It is a easy to use and a responsive application that works well. The emails, contacts, and the other files of the Thunderbird mailbox are stored in the MBOX file format.

  3. Location of Thunderbird MBOX File In Windows Vista, 7, 8.1 and 10: Go the Windows Start menu Type %APPDATA% in the Search Box Click on the Roaming item that appears on the menu. Now select Thunderbird >> Profiles. Each folder in this folder is a profile on your system. One can also navigate directly to the profile folder at the following path: C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\
