  1. Presentation theme: Non-destructive testing of career and construction technique Hitachi Construction Machinery.

  2. Non-destructive testing. Non-destructive testing – is the insertion of an object reliability, and it’s different elements of structure, by methods that non destroy integrity and non decrease operation properties of an objects. There are nine basic types of non-destructive testing methods that bases on different physical phenomenon’s: • - radio wave method; • - electrical; • - ultrasonic testing method; • - eddy current method; • - magnetic; • - magnetic-powder method • - thermal; • - x-ray method; • - dye penetrant inspection method; • - visual inspection method.

  3. Types of non-destructive method that Eurasian Machinery uses. Eurasian Machinery company, as official dealer of construction and career technique manufacture Hitachi, for non-destructive testing use several method, shown below: • Visual inspection method. • Dye penetrant inspection method. • Ultrasonic testing method.

  4. Visual inspection. We have original regulatory and technical documentation for each type of technique. Visual inspection – is one of the optical type non-destructive testing methods. It based on getting information of a testing object during visual inspection or with using support optical devices and measure tools. Eurasian Machinery company do visual inspection of a technique regular, during technician support period, during assembly process, operation maintenance and overhauls. Visual inspection act according to product factory’s regulatory and technical documentation and many years of technician support and overhauls experience career and construction technique Hitachi.

  5. Dye penetrant inspection. Dye penetrant inspection – non-destructive testing method, based on penetration of specific liquid substances into object’s surface defects under the action of capillary pressure, as the result defect area surface becomes color contrast to other inspecting surface. Dye penetrant inspection process including 5 stages : 1 – pre cleaning surface. 2 – penetrants applying. 3 – penetrants surplus removing. 4 – developer applying. 5 – inspection.

Inspectiondoing with using high-sensitivity Chemetall kits that has international standards approve: DIN EN ISO 3452-2 II sensitivity class, AMS 2644 и ASME. Detection of defects with minimum disclosure width is 1 – 10 micron.

  7. Dye penetrants inspection during technique repair process. Dye penetrants inspection of front longitudinal trailing arms of Hitachi EH3500ACII career dump truck. Crack have been repaired according to Hitachi original technology, by Eurasian Machinery technicians. As a result of the inspection, the fatigue crack was found in the metal of the trailing arm casting.

  8. Dye penetrants inspection during technique repair process. Dye penetrants inspection of side frame of Hitachi EX3600E-6 LD career hydraulic excavator. Crack have been repaired according to Hitachi original technology. As a result of the inspection, the fatigue crack was found in the metal of welding joint.

  9. Ultrasonic testing. Principal scheme of factory’s recommended ultrasonic testing method. We have original regulatory and technical documentation for each type of technique. Ultrasonic testing - method, which use high frequency sonic wave beams goes through material for inner and surface defects detection.Sonic waves goes through material with some energy loses (damping)and reflect form surfaces. Reflected beam (flaw echo) gets and analysis, formeasure defect existence and position. UT is effective in detecting gas pores, chemically composition difference (slag impregnation in metal) and detecting the presence of non-metallic elements.   10. Material base. Ultrasonic flaw detector Krautkramer USM 36. Angle and straight probes Japan-Probe. Eurasian Machinery company use, product factory’s recommended, the latest technological equipment for UT. All equipment has verification certificates from «National Center for Expertise and Certification».

As a result of the inspection, the micro-crack was found in the metal of welding joint. Crack have been repaired according to Hitachi original technology.

Gouging places with unacceptable defects. Crack detected at the root of weld. For each one problem client gets factory’s approved repair procedure technology.

Crack have been repaired according to Hitachi original technology. The result of the inspection, was found different defects as cracks and gas pores. . Gouging defect places.

Crack have been repaired according to Hitachi original technology. During inspection process crack was discovered. Ultrasonic testing for repaired welding joint, there are no defects in weld. Grinder and dye penetrant control for crack.
