  2. How the name Nixon came about is quite an interesting story. The founders of Nixon took a list of names to a group of snowboarders and coaches at a Mount Hood summer camp. The snowboarders had something to say about every name the founders threw out there until they said Nixon.

  3. The group of snowboarders went silent until finally one said, “I think my mom said he did something wrong once.” Voila! They had a name that was recognizable, but carried no meaning, and also hadthe added bonus of being a name parents did not like.
