  1. Show Solidarity With The Troops By Donating An Old Cell Phone You will be amazed at the huge impact even a small donation can make. If you want to show your solidarity with our troops as well as support our veterans, consider donating your old mobile phone to Cell Phones For Soldiers. We provide our brave men and women with free talk time so that they can call their loved ones back at home. Instead of selling your old phones, you can instead donate them to us, and we will recycle or sell them and use the proceeds to help our troops stay in touch—for free. It’s truly heartbreaking to realize that some of our soldiers cannot hear the voices of their friends and families back home because of the high costs of long-distance calls. You can provide our troops with the precious gift of connecting to their loved ones. Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded in 2004 and has provided more than 300 million minutes of talk time to men and women serving around the world. But we don’t only help active-duty troops. We ​​support our veterans​​ by providing an emergency fund service—a much-needed solution to the many financial challenges plaguing veterans.

  2. Did you know that veterans make up roughly 13% of the homeless population in the US? What’s more, over 7.6 percent of our veterans are jobless. We as a society need to do more to support our veterans as they return to civilian life. If you are interested in helping out, you can support Cell Phones For Soldiers. Helping Heroes Home​​ has assisted over 3,000 veterans and their families since 2012. Through this program, Cell Phones For Soldiers grants one-time emergency aids to veterans who need financial assistance as they transition to civilian life—whether they require some help in making rent this month, repairing their car, or avoiding an eviction notice. The program also assists veterans in overcoming difficulties and hardships they face when they return to the civilian life, including assimilation problems and traumas caused by war. You can choose to donate a phone or donate money to this cause. Every little bit helps, and your generosity is always appreciated. Cell Phones For Soldiers can recycle all models, makes and conditions of mobile phones and smartphones, even if they are cracked or malfunctioning.
