Background • The Katherine Keough School of Space Studies • school of choice in a large magnet school system. • The school physically houses grades 6-9. • academic focus on space and space program • 73% BOCES aid • Declining enrollment trend (increase in other themed schools) • Declining academic achievement • 60% staff uncomfortable with computer use/ 40% use consistently

  10. Conclusion • Creating an environment that engages and challenges students but gives teachers a comfortable technological learning place. This will create a school system that draws students and increases achievement. • Further grant writing will be ongoing in creating a plan for continuing technology and upgrades.
