  3. Course Description English 11 offers an integrated program of writing and literature, focusing on the study of American Literature and writing, including argumentative, narrative, informative, and literary analysis.

  9. Policies to highlight • Essays may be revised after teacher-student conference within one week of returning paper. • Late homework accepted – 50% deduction

  10. Assessment Standards • Essays will be assessed using the school-wide writing rubric for the specific writing genre. • Major projects will be evaluated using a teacher-created, content specific rubric.
