  4. Our Fear of God Must Be Balanced • Don’t Fall For Satan’s Second Lie • Lie 1: You can disobey God. (Gen. 3:1-6) • Lie 2: You must hide from God. (Gen. 3:7-11) • “I was afraid…” (Gen. 3:10) • “Behold Then The Kindness and Severity of God.” Rom. 11:17-22 • Balanced Fear Brings Joy, Confidence, & Humility • Fear and Grace Work Together • Ps. 103:11, Ps. 118:4, Ps. 145:17-19, Luke 1:50, Acts 10:35,

  5. Fear and Grace Work Together • (Psalms 103:11) For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. • (Psalms 118:4) Oh let those who fear the LORD say, "His lovingkindness is everlasting."

  6. Fear and Grace Work Together • (Luke 1:50) "AND HIS MERCY IS UPON GENERATION AFTER GENERATION TOWARD THOSE WHO FEAR HIM. • (Acts 10:35) but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.

Perfecting Your Fear With A Perfected Love • Love and Fear are both matters of faith. • Faith That God Loves and Will Reward • Faith That God Judges and Will Punish • Love of Action • 1 John 4:12 • Love Perfected By Practice Will Cast Out Unhealthy Fear • No longer fear God as a slave, but as a son or daughter. (Rom. 8:15, 1 Pet. 1:17)

  8. Balance Your Faith • “See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.” • 1 John 3:1 • “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.” • Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
