GIVING CARE: STEP #3 • Once you have checked the scene, called 9-1-1, you may need to give care to the ill/injured person.
Giving Care • Check the person for life-threatening conditions and give appropriate care. To do so follow these simple guideline: • Do no further harm. • Monitor breathing/consciousness. • Help the person rest. • Keep person from getting chilled or overheated. • REASSURE THE PERSON. • Give specific care as needed.
