Relevant expertise for E-AGRI • Weather data processing for agrometeorological monitoring & modelling • Developing, calibrating and applying agrometeorological models • Processing and analyzing of geographical data (maps, satellite data) • Data assimilation, model optimization • Software engineering (models, interfaces, visualisation, databases) • Statistical systems for yield forecasting

Track record and experience • Consortium leader of the MARSOP1,2,3 projects (MARS operations for JRC Agri4Cast/FoodSec) • GLOBAM project: crop models and satellite data assimilation • Huabei-CGMS: application of agromet. models in the North China Plain • Geoland1,2: scientific extensions to MARSOP projects • CGMS-China: providing support for CAAS in building CGMS for China.
