  1. Veneers / Composite Bonding

  2. Veneers are a great way to improve the way your teeth look and also protect them from damage. A veneer is a special layer we place on top of your teeth to hide discolouration and other imperfections to help keep them healthier for longer.

  3. They can be made from two materials, porcelain or composite. If you choose composite veneers, they can be built and directly fitted on your teeth by your dentist. They can also be fitted indirectly. We’ll take a mould of your teeth and send it to a lab where they’ll make veneers that are specially made for you. If you choose porcelain veneers, we’ll always have to take a mould of your teeth. When the veneers come back from the lab, you just need to pop into The Dentist and we’ll put them in place with a special glue called dental cement.

  4. Sometimes veneers are called dental crowns, but they are a little different. A crown covers the full surface of the whole tooth, giving more space for the glue to stick. They may need more drilling and tooth preparation than just veneers, but they are a more permanent fix as they help support the veneers. Laminate veneers are another option to upgrade your smile and help protect your teeth. Laminate is a thin substance that covers the surface of your teeth, They will help stop discolouration and make even out the spaces between your teeth. Laminate veneers are a lot less invasive than some of the other options, but they are not as reliable as dental crowns. If the glue stops working, the veneers could just fall off.
