    2. Research design Most research is sponsored It is ethical behaviour for a researcher to use resources efficiently and effectively to work hard to ensure the well-being of all colleagues and participants

    3. Well-being The ethical principle of well-being or beneficence obligates the researcher to secure the well-being of all study participants and colleagues. It is your responsibility to protect participants and colleagues from harm, as well as ensure that they experience the possible benefits of involvement. This is an ethical question that researchers face. The peer review process and the principle of beneficence help you answer this question and protect your research participant's rights.

    4. Costs and benefits Balancing risks and benefits is an important consideration. The key, is to "maximize possible benefits and minimize possible harms." When do the benefits to society outweigh the costs and the possible risks of research?
