  1. Friedensreich Hundertwasser Hundertwasser (1928 – 2000) is considered to be one of the most important artists to have emerged from Europe since the end of World War II. His art style remains unaligned with any major art movement. http://www.unc.edu/~yanfang/digital_library/biography.htm

  2. As a painter and an architect, Hundertwasser rejected the “straight line” in any of his projects. The “spiral” dominates the flow of his paintings athat are accentuated by the use of vibrant color which the artist make himself from natural pigments and ingredients that ranged from chicken eggs to metallic substances. http://landscapeandurbanism.blogspot.com/2008/09/hundertwasser.html

  3. Hundertwasser was born in Austria, but his influences span the globe as he traveled and lived not only throughout Europe but also in Africa and the South Pacific. http://ohappyhappyday.blogspot.com/2010/04/friedensreich-hundertwasser-his.html

One of these projects is the famous Hundertwasser haus which draws thousands of people to Vienna each year.

  5. Although Hundertwasser’s paintings depict a very worldly concern with carefully chosen titles ad subject matter, the artist himself chose a life of solitude with nature later in his life. He resided mainly in New Zeland amongst his large garden of plants and trees from around the world. http://postershop.com/Hundertwasser-Friedensreich/Hundertwasser-Friedensreich-Pavilions-und-Bungalows-9700554.html
