  1. Bell Work—Word of the Day 9-12-19 • Get a “Word of the Day” paper from the podium. • Write the word below in the first “Word” column. • Write your guess as to what you think it means in the “What do you think it means” column. Utilize What do you think utilize means?

  2. Definition Utilize—verb “To put to use”

  3. Example The teacher utilized her students’ test scores by looking at the missed questions to determine what she needed to reteach. Now illustrate the word and use it in a sentence on the back of your paper.

  4. Word of the Day 8-13-19 **Get out your Word of the Day sheet. Use the next column for today’s word.** Establish What do you think establish means?

  5. Definition Establish—verb “To set up or create”

  6. Example The student established a good relationship with his teacher by being respectful. Now illustrate the word and use it in a sentence on the back of your paper.

  7. Word of the Day 8-14-19 **Get out your Word of the Day sheet. Use the next column for today’s word.** Unify What do you think unify means?

  9. Example The coach unified his team by explaining they needed to work together in order to win. Now illustrate the word and use it in a sentence on the back of your paper.
