Color Harmonies. A hue is the actual , or proper name of any given color. (hue, chrome and color are all names of the same thing) If all color is eliminated entirely we are left with an achromatic range.

  1. Color Harmonies A hue is the actual , or proper name of any given color. (hue, chrome and color are all names of the same thing) If all color is eliminated entirely we are left with an achromatic range. Black and White are not hues because they do not have a place or position on the color wheel. Grays, Blacks and Whites are considered neutrals

  3. Color Harmonies Monochromatic scheme Mono comes from the Greek for one, meaning that it is a schema composed of a single hue. A tint is the hue plus the addition of white. A tone is created when a hue is mixed with gray. A shade is created by mixing black with a hue. There are three components an artist needs to consider when working with color. Hue, Value, and Saturation

  8. Color Harmonies Color Harmonies Are ways in which artists and designers pick and use a combination of hues. Analogous color scheme: Are a group of any three hues directly next to each other on the color wheel.

  10. Color Harmonies Complementary colors Are two colors that are exactly opposite each other on the color wheel. The represent the highest form of contrast within the color wheel. In any complementary pair one hue will be warm and the other cool.
