  1. High on Flakka, 2 Women Shock High on Flakka, 2 Women Shock the the World World with with Their Bizarre Behavior Their Bizarre Behavior Two recent incidents that involved women high on flakka has left the authorities concerned. Flakka (alpha-PVP) is a synthetic drug and a newer version of bath salts that literally means a skinny woman in Spanish. Being chemically similar to bath salts, the implications of flakka abuse are equally severe and life-threatening. Since the users of flakka often indulge in bizarre and violent behavior, it has been popularly labelled as a “zombie drug.” In the first incident, 32-year-old Camille Balla gouged out the eyes of her mother from their sockets and placed them neatly on the top of a cardboard box on Mar. 16, 2018. On being captured, she admitted smoking weed laced with flakka. Like most flakka users, Balla had been displaying strange behavior prior to the incident. Apparently, she used to indulge in activities related to the cleansing of the soul, which was evident from the handwritten notes including religious messages found during the search of the place of crime. It is suspected that Balla committed the crime under influence of flakka as she had multiple cuts on her body, had even sent an SOS to her friends and hysterical when the help arrived. Probably, by the time police arrived at the spot, the effects of the drug had worn off and Balla had realized the enormity of what she had done. Balla has been charged with first murder. People who have known her expressed shock over the gruesome incident. One of her friends, Kayla Francione, said in an online post that she had known Balla as a positive person who would never put anyone down. the was degree In another chilling incident, a woman, whose name was not revealed, was found trying yoga poses on the edge of her balcony. In the entire incident, filmed by one of her rescuers, she was seen responding to the queries in a high-pitched tone. Apparently high on flakka, the woman refused to take any help from him. She said, “You're here filming. Everybody wants me to get hurt.” It was only later when a paramedic arrived at the scene that the woman relented. Key reasons for bizarre repercussions of flakka abuse Synthetic stimulants like flakka have the reputation of turning a man into a beast. Last year, townsfolk of Sullivan were literally petrified when four individuals high on flakka went on a rampage. They broke www.sovcal.com

Drugs like flakka are known to promote violence, paranoia, superhuman strength, etc. There have been reports that these drugs were responsible for cannibalism as well. However, such stories seem farfetched and more likely a consequence of media hype. Like other synthetic drugs, flakka is processed primarily in China and shipped overseas in bulk. It contains a chemical related to methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV), which is a key ingredient in bath salts. Flakka binds to the neurons in the brain, which keeps a tight control on the neurotransmitter activity. As the neurotransmitters flood the brain, an individual indulging in flakka experiences an elevated feeing. The impact of flakka on neurotransmitters is similar to that witnessed in the case of cocaine; however, flakka has more long-lasting effects, as it binds to the neurons for longer. As it binds for longer, it could actually end up damaging the neurons. Moreover, the long-term abuse of flakka causes psychoses and mood disorders. It is bad for kidneys as well. Individuals abusing flakka for long could end up being on dialysis for life. Lastly, deadly infections like human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis are also common.
