The Common Dissemination Platform CDP Mandated by FROCH; the main objectives are: • decrease the reporting burden for the Member States; • increase the timeliness and the quality (especially the coherence) of short-term statistical data; • explore promising new ways of data transmission; • decrease the production burden of Eurostat.

The Pilots • Pilots should start as soon as possible. • A first expert meeting with the volunteer Member States in November or December. • Discussion points for this meeting: • which environment to use at Eurostat (probably a test domain in New Cronos); • which seasonal adjustment (if any); • which data format to start with (GESMES/TS or SDMX-ML); • reconfirmation of the indicators chosen by Eurostat; • time frame for the pilots.

  6. Questions to the ITDG Member States are asked • to comment on the project • to comment on their experiences in this domain
