  2. What is a hyperbole? Hyperbole is the use of extreme exaggeration for the purpose of emphasis or heightened effect.

  3. Why use hyperbole? It is usually meant to be humorous or funny. It adds interest to a story! “I’m so hungry I could eat a horse!” is much more interesting and descriptive than “I’m hungry.”
