  1. Pacific Science center, Seattle Pacific Science center is a science themed non-profit museum located in Seattle, Washington State of America. It was initially designed in 1962 by Minoru Yamasaki for “World’s fair in Seattle”. It is situated on 7.1 acres on south of the Seattle center. This center started as world of science with Worlds of Art, Entertainment, Commerce and Industry, and Tomorrow- as theme areas that stood as attractions in the World’s fair. It was a leased at the time of inception but now is running as a non-profit. Similar to other museums, Pacific Science Center creates, builds and rents many traveling exhibits that are available for school group field trips and the public. It also creates and conducts various camps in Puget Sound locations, research weekends and sci- themed events. One of its programs, “Science on wheels” reaches the schools through vans and teach the school kids about must know-how of scientific advances. The moving staff assists school teachers in teaching science. Only a few exhibits are still standing in the center since 1960s. The Lens and Mirror Machine and a suspended model of the Earth's moon are the major remains since it started. Illusion ramp is another notable possession since World’s fair which was reproduced during late 1990s. The Seattle Laser Dome, a domed Spacerium now known as the Seattle Laser Dome is used for laser light show, was initially designed for a wide-angle movie journey through space. Before IMAX, a previous movie theater present showed films such as NASA's Apollo 8 and the 21st Century. Dixy Lee Ray served as the center’s director for several years till he was elected as a governor of the State of Washington. He helped promote the Science Center amongst school children by hosting a school-age geared science program telecasted. The Eames Theater was originally created during 1960’s for a special multi-screen IBM movie. It was then converted into an IMAX screen in 1979, the first of two IMAX theaters at the center. During 1980s, the center evolved in manifolds. This is when the center hosted the exhibit "China: 7000 Years of Discovery", which turned out to be a huge success. Travelling robotic dinosaur exhibit gave way later in the 1990s for a permanent dinosaur display. Kids Works, Body Works, an animal area and a tide pool were all opened for public during that period which added feathers of fame to the center’s honor. "Titanic: the Artifacts Exhibit", "Discovering the Dead Sea Scrolls", "Harry Potter The Exhibition", "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination", "Design Zone", “'Race' Are We So Different?" –are some of the major travelling exhibits that have occurred. Recently enough, "Pompeii: The Exhibition" caught the attention of thousands of people during Feb-May 2015.
