ACT Test Prep! Mrs. Brown’s Intensive Reading
Step #1 – Put a 19 on it… 19 You only need 19 correct questions to pass the Reading Portion of the ACT! The ACT Test only gives points for EVERY correct answer. Never takes points away!
Step #2 – Read and Write Fiction Read ONLY the Fiction story! As you read, jot down one to two words that help you remember what you just READ! new office memories
Step #3 – Underline Right There Questions Remember, you are underlining the entire test! Look for keywords: Lines (45-47) Fourth Paragraph
Step #4 – Answer, Answer, Answer Answer all Right there questions and fiction story questions.
Step #5 – Nonfiction Paragraph One Read the FIRST paragraph for each Nonfiction Story Which passage do you find the easiest? So stick with it and answer…
Step #6 – Two Minute Rule The last TWO MINUTES, stop and GO BACK And answer EVERYTHING…
