Austin Roos Newsletter 04/09/14-04/25/14 Important Dates April 9-11 5th grade Camp Grady Spruce 17th Kindergarten Registration 9-11 a.m. and 6:00-7:30 p.m. 18th Student Holiday 22nd STAAR Math Assessments for 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades 23rd STAAR Reading Assessments for 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades 24th STAAR Science Assessments for 5th grade 25thRoo Blue Spirit Day 5th Six Weeks Report Cards will sent home • Nurse’s Corner: • Reminder: Cough Drops must be brought to nurse’s office and consent form must be signed. Students are not allowed to have ANY medication in classrooms. • If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nurse Tolin at 817-598-2848 ext :4310 Encourage students to do Think Through Math at home. Students who successfully complete lessons will be entered into a drawing each month to win prizes! Login at http://lms.thinkthroughmath.com Don’t forget to send your child to school with a coat or jacket. Be sure and check the lost and found for misplaced items. STAAR Assessments April 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. Please make sure students get plenty of rest, eat breakfast and arrive at school on time. If possible do not schedule appointments on STAAR Assessment days ,and be sure to dress students in layers so they will be comfortable. Spirit Nights April 22nd CiCi’s 5:00-7:00 P.M. April 25th Mavericks 7:00-9:00 P.M.($12.00 per person) Our new Austin website is up and running. We have now started the Voice of Austin on our website which changes daily.
