  1. Reflection questions for aice media studies By: Amelia Dournaux

  2. Question 1: How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social group or issue?

  3. The project shows different types of races and genders coming together to have a fun day. The genre for the project is pop. The project also represents racial equality and how it is in societies nowadays. They can hang out with whatever race, times changed.

  4. Question 2: How does your project engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

  5. The project has a more playful and amateur feeling. The video includes funny scenes to make the audience enjoy it more. The video would be put onto YouTube for people to see, then use Instagram as free advertisement to receive views. As the views increase, the more attention it receives for future productions.

  6. Question 3 How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

  7. Growing as a filmmaker during this project has been an amazing learning experience. I have learned about different edits and angles that I didn’t know EXISTED! I liked having the chance to become creative and get my vision out there. I did not like the feeling of depending on my actors and the anxiety that I didn’t do great. I still plan on being a physician, but I may get into filmmaking my next 3 years at FLHS, I can never rule out future opportunities. I truly want to make a video and post it online, then see how that plays out!

  8. Question 4 How did you integrate technologies- software, hardware and online – in this project?

  9. During this project, I used a cannon camcorder to film and the iMovie app to edit the video. To download the song I used an MP3 downloading website. I incorporated all this technology I had learned in class to figure out my angles and editing. I used different angles and lighting to emphasize the scenes. I also used the different editing techniques to make everything come together.
