Falgout Canal Floodgate Control Structure • Unbalanced force can be resisted by cutoff wall combined with landing piles together • Hydraulic force can be resisted by the receiving structure • The connection of the cutoff wall and the landing piles together and the transfer of forces between the landing foundation and the receiving structure is by a pile cap at landing piles and/or through the gate structure.
