News From CLMA • CLMA – ASCLS Strategic Alliance Task Force (CASA) • Charge: The CASA Report should provide the Board of Directors of each organization the necessary information to deliberate and vote on a merger recommendation resolution, as a preliminary to a vote of a merger resolution by the respective general membership of each organization. Should a merger be approved, actual merger implementation and transition plans would be studied outside of the scope of CASA. • Your representatives • Rodney Forsman, CLMA President-Elect, Minnesota chapter • Paul Labbe, Six Rivers chapter • Judy Lien, Wisconsin • Carla Orner, CLMA Secretary-Treasurer, Kansas City chapter • Sarina Rodriques, Greater Los Angeles chapter

Report from the CASA Task Force The Task Force unanimously recommends that the respective governing boards of ASCLS and CLMA approve the concept of a combined organization, and agree to jointly proceed over the next few months with implementation and transition planning, utilizing due diligence on legal modeling and a financial pro forma (studied outside of the scope of the Task Force). CLMA Board Approved June 27, 2011
