DOCLINE Update Medical Library Association, May 2003

This document provides updates on the recent changes and enhancements made to DOCLINE, including the release of DOCLINE 1.5 and 1.5.1, the 10 millionth transaction milestone, and plans for the upcoming DOCLINE 1.6 release. It also discusses the forthcoming interface redesign and its goals, as well as the major enhancements and improvements that users can expect.

  7. Coming Soon … • Netscape 4.x support ends June 15th • No more code fixes for Netscape 4.x related problems • Upgrade to Internet Explorer 6, 5.5 or Netscape 7 • NLM joining EFTS • DOCLINE 1.6

Electronic Fund Transfer System (EFTS) • NLM will send April-June 2003 billing data in July 2003; reflected on August 2003 statement • NLM will continue to offer billing to non-EFTS customers through the National Technical Information Service (NTIS) • EFTS participation is arranged with the EFTS office at UCHC, 1-866-561-5045

SERHOLD to OCLC • Exporting of a library’s DOCLINE serial holdings data to OCLC • Pilot program complete in April 2003 • Schedule • First export scheduled for July 4th weekend • First weekend in January, April, July, October • No charge to import SERHOLD data into OCLC for existing OCLC members • SERHOLD Batch Update Authorization • Holdings will map to only 1 OCLC Symbol • See DOCLINE Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) • Error reporting – stay tuned …
