  1. James Gunn - Vulture

  2. The Suicide Squad Trailer: Harley Quinn’s Got Backup We interrupt your millionth hour of The Snyder Cut to bring you The Suicide Squad trailer. Directed by James Gunn, the sequel reassembles the gang of “degenerate delinquents,” starting with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. The rest of the ragtag cast of villains and civilians includes John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney (Divergent), Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who), David Dastmalchian (Dune), Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy), Alice Braga (Elysium), Pete Davidson, Joaquín Cosio (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), Juan Diego Botto (The Europeans), Storm Reid (Euphoria), Nathan Fillion, Steve Agee (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), Tinashe Kajese, and Sylvester Stallone.

  3. Guardians of the Galaxy Director James Gunn Has One Question About Space Force’s New Member Title First they borrowed heavily from Star Trek’s iconic logo, now the United States Space Force announced their members will be called “Guardians,” news that Vice-President Mike Pence revealed on Friday. “Today, after a yearlong process that produced hundreds of submissions and research involving space professionals and members of the general public, we can finally share with you the name by which we will be known: Guardians,” the new military branch’s official Twitter account posted earlier today.

  4. The name, they point out, was inspired by the motto of the Air Force Space Command, established in 1982 and then reconfigured into the U.S. Space Force in December 2019, “Guardians of the High Frontier,” which is ostensibly why the title reveal image also reads, “Heritage + Mission + Culture.” Of course, the internet immediately pointed out in return that, yearlong search or not, Space Force has seemingly named the guardians of our galaxy after 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Or, as the director of the Marvel film franchise James Gunn put it in a tweet about Pence: “Can we sue this dork?”

  5. ScreenCrush – James Gunn The Suicide Squad’ Is Officially Rated R There were a lot of things wrong with the first Suicide Squad, but its rating certainly didn’t help. Here is a film about a team of deadly (in some cases psychotic) super-villains forced to take on a suicide mission on behalf of the government; if they disobey orders, the government blows up their heads. If they fail, they die. And it was rated ... PG-13. Suicide Squad is not a PG-13 rated concept. But hey, gigantic blockbusters are supposed to be for gigantic audiences, which means they have to be made acceptable for viewers of almost any age. Suicide Squad’s PG-13 was a pretty good summation of the movie as a whole — with the studio forcing the film to tick certain boxes they felt they needed out of a big DC superhero movie.

  6. James Gunn Teases Multiple ‘Suicide Squad’ Post-Credits Scenes The Suicide Squad could have more than one post-credit scene, according to James Gunn. The director shared a vintage-inspired poster on Twitter for the upcoming DC movie, which is a sequel to 2016’s Suicide Squad.  Replying to the graphic, a Twitter user asked if there would be a post-credits scene following the movie. Gunn's response hints that there’s multiple. This implies that there could be two (or possibly three?) bonus scenes waiting for us after the credits. Gunn is no stranger to the post-credit scene — Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has a total of five scenes that play after the movie.
