Characterization Update

This update highlights the ongoing efforts to prepare for the GP review and conduct post-repair tests. It also discusses the findings of F contamination in the Gold and Al2O3 samples, as well as the XPS, UPS, and SEY results after Ar+ sputtering. Additionally, plans for analyzing ALD and Arradiance samples are outlined.

  10. This Week • Continuing to prepare for GP review • Received new ALD samples • Samples are too large to fit into our system • 1 inch diameter maximum • Arradiance samples are still in the works • Will contact Kathy Harkay

  11. Near Future • Finalize multi-sample holder for XPS system • XPS, UPS, and SEY of our ALD-Group’s samples • Find trends related to thickness • XPS, UPS, and SEY of Arradiance samples • Compare to our ALD-Group’s samples and attempt to identify source of any differences
