  1. Jalil Afsharnejad - The Role And Duties Of A Store Assistant Within a majority of larger retail stores and shops, ones which sell products and items of clothing are likely to have a stockroom. The stockroom is an important place within the store in order to keep goods and free up space from the shop floor. With all stores, bulk buying will provide a slightly lower price than buying goods individually, which is why many store managers would order more than one item. The excess goods bought will kept away in the stockroom until it is sold out or have a few left on the shop floor shelves. Many people like Jalil Afsharnejad who is professional store assistant, prefers better management skills to handle a stocks of a store. There are many duties that one has to perform so assistant should be wise enough to figure out the best way to solve issues. Stockrooms would need to be kept clean, tidy and have enough stock stored in case they run out on the shop floor. In order to keep the stockroom in a good order, shop owners or managers would require hiring stockroom assistants to take in deliveries and ensure the goods are put in the right place and that any stocks that are low are recorded to be replaced. The only problem with working within the stockrooms is that, it is usually dark and would have no customers interaction or much interaction with anyone at all. Depending on the size of the business, there may only be one store assistant rather than many, so it can be a lonely role. The role may also require going through heavy lifting training as well as the standard health and safety training and being able to do a stock take on a regular basis.

As the store assistant would be the only person to have a good knowledge of the products available in store as they are the ones who deals with them, the other members of staff such as shop floor assistants and sale assistants would usually rely on the store assistant to check for the availabilities of goods, therefore it is important that the person knows the products availability well. The stockroom assistant role will not usually be required to have previous experience or any experience at all. It is a role that doesn’t necessarily need to have any form of qualifications or much training. As long as the person is organized and is able to keep records of stock, then it is an easy role to do and apply for.
