CBRNEProgram Mgt/Coordination • FRTP CBRNE Steering Committee • Interdepartmental committee consisting of 5 partners + CEMC • Executive Director chairs all meetings & CEMC provides full secretariat • Next meeting scheduled for Sept. 17th, 08 – approx. 5 meetings/year • Coordinating Strategic Planning effort for FRTP (5 year plan) • FRTP CBRNE Working Group • Interdepartmental committee (also includes first responder participation when required) • CBRN Manager chairs all meetings & CEMC provides full secretariat • 2 meetings since April 08 and 5 planned for the remainder of this fiscal year • CEMC rep. also chairs and participates in all sub-working group meetings as required

CBRNEProgram Mgt/Coordination(Cont’d) • FPT CBRNE Sub-WG • Actively participate as a formal member of the committee - 1 formal meeting to date – teleconferences occur bi-weekly – next formal meeting in Oct. 08 • CSA CBRNE PPE Guidelines • Actively participate in meetings (2-3 day) - 2 meetings since April 08 - 4 planned for the remainder of this fiscal year • Equipment purchasing and maintenance • Continuously updating CBRNE equipment requirements to support training (purchase new/dispose of outdated) • Maintain equipment and replenish supplies post all Intermediate courses

CBRNEProgram Mgt/Coordination(Cont’d) • OAG follow-up – PSAT audit 2005 • Preparing to respond to follow-up from PSAT 2005 audit and possible new scope of audit • Audit anticipated for Jan. 2009 • Need for a new TB submission re: FRTP CBRNE • Initial meeting took place with DG Policy – Aug. 08 • Next step – meet with TB analyst • Liaison role with CRTI • Assess and determine validity of CRTI proposals – approx. 10 proposals reviewed to date • Maintain active liaison role with CRTI clusters and participate in many of their workshops/conferences

CBRNEProgram Mgt/Coordination(Cont’d) • PSAT reporting • Submitted Annual report 07/08 • FRTP Integrated reporting • Follow-up and action recommendations from FRTP CEMC Summative Evaluation (MAP) and FRTP Integrated Summative Evaluation (MAP) • IAFF Collaboration • Ongoing coordination required to negotiate and confirm IAFF specific FRTP related deliverables • Development of RFP for E-learning platform • Current contract expires in March 2009 • Ongoing discussion with IT to seek their guidance • Short-term – migration of CBRNE courses • Long-term – determine College wide needs of platform

CBRNE Course Delivery • CBRNE Advanced level course • 5-day course • Delivered in Suffield – DRDC • As of March 2008 – 17 courses have been delivered & 495 trained • 2 courses delivered & 48 trained since April 2008 • 7 courses to be delivered for remainder of fiscal year • CBRNE Intermediate level course • 7½-day course • Delivered at CEMC • As of March 2008 – 25 courses have been delivered & 968 trained • 2 courses delivered 74 trained since April 2008 • 3 courses to be delivered for remainder of fiscal year (waiting list) • Some P/Ts are assessing their ability to deliver course on-site

CBRNE Course Delivery(Cont’d) • CBRNE Basic train-the-trainer course • 2-day course • Delivered in P/Ts by CEMC • As of March 2008 – 9 courses have been delivered & 269 trained • 2 courses have been requested for this fiscal year • CBRNE Basic level course • 1-day course • CEMC coordinated – delivered by P/Ts in municipality • As of March 2008 – 219 courses have been delivered & 4192 trained • 41 courses delivered & 541 trained since April 2008 • CBRNE e-learning courses – Awareness & Basic • Manage contract for helpdesk, hosting & maintenance • As of March 2008 – 2390 trained in Basic & 2977 in Awareness • 584 certificates of completion issued since April 2008 • International interest for access to course content

CBRNE New Course DevelopmentCourse Re-design & update • CBRNE Awareness for Incident Commander Course (on hold – pending FTP CBRNE sub-WG decision) • CBRNE Basic Refresher on-line Training Program – partnership with RCMP College and Canadian Police Research Centre (early discussions) • CBRNE Intermediate – involving 5 Federal partners – tri-service first responders (approx. 20) • Pilot to be conducted Jan. 09 • French pilot to follow – Spring 2009
