  1. What Are The Challenges Of Conducting Performance Testing? Performance testing gathers all the tests that verify an application’s speed, robustness, reliability, and correct sizing. It examines several indicators such as a browser, page and network response times, server query processing time, number of acceptable concurrent users architected, CPU memory consumption, and number/type of errors which may be encountered when using an application. Selecting the right tool If the tool is precisely in line with project scope and requirements, then a great deal of productivity can be expected from the tool. But, if the tool is not in line with the project specifications, then there will be some crucial issues. There are open-source tools like Apache JMeter etc., and commercial tools available like IBM Rational performance tester, HP Loadrunner etc. Data related issues If the valid data is unavailable, then executing scripts will be a daunting task or in certain scenarios, it will be a failure. Hence, valid data should be collected by the tester during the design phase and then using the parameterization method, this data should be implemented in the script. Monitoring and tracking the performance If the application is in a distributed network environment, then it will prove to be really challenging for performance monitoring of each server. For the purpose of bottleneck analysis, it becomes a mandatory activity. Requirements that confuse the team If the client requirements are unclear, confusing, then it becomes a challenge to perform performance testing. In such situations, a minimum load can be used to start the testing process, and simultaneously architecture and development team must be consulted on a regular basis. Inadequate test environment set up There might be scenarios where there is a lack of dedicated test environments. Budgetary constraints might be one of the reasons for not setting up an effective and dedicated test environment. In such situations, a replica of the production environment can be opted for. Further, the scale-up and scale down processes can be used by performance testers in order to identify bottlenecks and obtain effective result analysis. READ MORE HERE https://www.testingxperts.com/
