  2. Title Meaning A fox is a wild animal with brown fur, a pointed face and a thick tail. the title might be metaphorical: that means that it might have different layers of meaning. The second meaning of this noun is used to say when someone is good and clever at deceiving people. The second definition best represents the real meaning of this title. • Plot of the Fox.. • Characters:Main Characters: March, the younger sister Secondary Characters: Banford, the elder sister Henry, the soldier Fox,the animal

  3. Narrative Technique The language used in the short story is not easily understandable because some words are not used any longer and also because the novelist describes the scenes with abundant details which deviate the reader's attention from the main events occurring in the novel. Narrator\Narrators The narrator was omniscient (he knows more things than the characters or the readers). It makes us understand that the narrator filtred everything. The reader’s opinion depends on the narrator Effects The writer uses repetitions and metaphors. For example the writer uses surnames for the two girls for the first name to stress the peculiar characteristics of both girls. March reminds the reader on relevant month that, in turn, reminds on spring. Banford reminds on a verb: "to ban" that means putting something or someone aside.
